IROC Race - You are welcome to bring your own 1/24 Scale BRM Car to run. Cars will be provided for the race!
Race entry fee is $5.00 for all. This is not part of the Philly Slots membership.
CHASSIS:
Stock chassis only. NO TRACTION MAGNETS. For non-IMSA chassis (BRM001 - BRM006 cars), holes can be drilled for setscrew access to rear wheels and crown gear; drilled hole not to exceed diameter of these holes on IMSA chassis (BRM007 - BRM010 cars). No modifications to axle mounts front or rear is permitted. The complete interior must be used and no modification or lightening is allowed. Axle stoppers are allowed, but must be BRM mfg.
WHEELS AND TIRES:
Front and rear wheels must be stock. Tires may be any BRM rubber tire. Rear tires may extend past body by no more than 1mm (.040). No chemicals may be used on the tires.
GUIDE BLADES:
Any BRM guide and braid may be used. Braid must be attached to guide in stock fashion, may not be glued or soldered.
MOTOR:
Motor must be BRM stock T027 motor, which has following rating based on Slotcarnews:
FK-180 (long can) 23,800 RPM/12v, 186 gcm/12v
GEARING:
Any gear ratio is allowed using BRM or BRM branded Sigma gears.
WEIGHT:
Weight may be added to the inside of the chassis (NO weight may be attached to the underside of the chassis.)
LIGHTING:
May be added (optional)
